The scores are on a scale of 1 to 9 and the Result is valid for 2 years. The test is offered 48 times a year.
Component Band Scores
The test contains 40 questions. Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
The student is asked to listen to conversations, topics, etc and answer questions based on what was heard. You also have to complete certain summaries, sentences and answer short questions.
In this section tests Examiner check your fluency and Coherence in speaking the English language, with Proper Grammatical Range, Accuracy & Pronunciation.
The Academic and General Training Reading tests are graded on the same scale.
The test contains 40 questions. Each section has 1 long passage. Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
The student has to read passages and answer questions that follow. Passages are designed for non-specialist audiences and are factual, analytical, and descriptive in nature.
This test consists of 3 sections with 40 Questions. Each section has 2 to 3 passages, which are extracted from workplace conditions, official documents, advertisements, etc. The student has to read passages and answer questions that follow. Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
The Academic and General Training Writing tests are graded on the same scale. Both consist of 2 tasks.
Task 1) Student have to describe graphs, diagrams or certain processes given in our own words.
Task 2) Students have to write an essay on an issue topic or argument. It is a formal style of writing.
Task 1) Students have to write a letter on a situation.
Task 2) Students have to write an essay on an issue topic or argument assigned. The style of writing can be a little more personal than completely formal.
